We are a small congregation: membership of 15 and an average attendance of 11 in worship each week together. At least half of the membership are also involved in a weekly Prayer group and a monthly Bible Study. We regard ourselves as a loving and caring church family and are known in the town as "The People Called Methodists".

Four years ago, after many years of prayer and even anguish, we made the decision to leave the very large Methodist Building used for 150 years in Ventnor and stepped out in faith to make our place of worship in a school hall not many steps along the road - adopting as our hymn 'One more step along the world we go'. This hall is shared with the local primary school and other community groups and it is also used by the Roman Catholic church for their weekly Mass.

Although having no permanent spiritual home, we have ecumenical links with other churches in the town. Every Tuesday, we meet at the coffee bar situated in the Anglican church and find fellowship with the many different people that join in. We attend with the Anglicans for Christmas and Easter Services and other festivals too, such as The Good Friday walk of witness and Christmas tree and flower festivals.

The church family is associated with Carisbrooke Priory (an ecumenical house of prayer and Christian healing).

We are sure that God is with us and the faith of every member has grown and is growing, possibly because of this time of uncertainty. We would love to be able to fulfil God's mission of outreach for His kingdom in some way in this special area, at this special time and for generations to come. Pray with us and watch this space!
